Shanna has been creating, developing, and sharing one form of artistic expression or another since she was a little girl. Before Shanna reached double digits in age, she had produced multiple photoshoots (primarily of her horses) and short films and plays (with cast of cousins and wildlife) on her family’s ranch in Loma Alta, Texas between Del Rio and Sonora, Texas (some called it "the middle of nowhere"). She also designed a portfolio of formal dresses, some of which were made and worn on a San Antonio runway, and participated on the runway a few times herself. This, of course, occurred in-between her ranch life adventures, which included working hard, and playing even harder. When not engaged in production, Shanna spent much of her childhood in nature. Meet Shanna’s right-hand and Brand Manager for Tribal Equine, Emily Covey. She is a native Texan and creative herself! Emily's childhood revolved around the art of dance. Starting from the early age of two, she expressed her creativity through various styles of dance (jazz and hip-hop were two of her favorites). In addition to her creativity, Emily found herself being drawn to volunteer with the special needs communities, as well as being a huge adoption advocate; both of which reflections her compassionate heart.
At the age of 19, she met her now-husband, Curt at the Gym; as the saying goes “the rest is history!” She sped through college, completing her Bachelor’s in three years and planned their beautiful wedding in the Texas Hill Country (this was before Pinterest boards!). Emily’s professional career was as a Petroleum Landman in the Oil & Gas industry. Though she enjoyed her profession and coworkers, she found herself craving a new creative outlet and dabbled in the boutique world for a bit! She created her own online boutique and also had her product featured in a couple of other retail spaces too...(continue reading)
